Yeah, but can you imagine how many board meetings took place to create it? I can just see it now, some executive saying "Bing! has a nice ring! to it!" And a committee formed to design the logo.
ReplyDeleteI would be greatly humored to see the efforts deployed towards this project quantified. :P
I've heard that "bing" refers to the sound commonly associated with finding something that you frequently hear in cartoons on tv. Also that it stands for Because It's Not Google (like the Adidas' All Day I Dream About Soccer). I wonder how much they paid for the damn domain name.
ReplyDeleteThe orange is cool, but combined with blue and a cluttered search home page with a photo as a background really turns me off. Like most things designed by Microsoft.
